Founding member and Project Coordinator; responsible for managing activities, strategic planning, development management and fund raising.

TAM MCGARVEY
Mapping the Future Officer; progression support for our participants, including excursions. Occasional metalwork trainer. Tam also does outreach and development work, and can pull off a mean Elvis. tam@galgael.org
IAN BOGLE
Senior Trainer; responsible for delivery of practical training activity and management of the workshop. Ian is also the person to speak to about small furniture commissions.

HELEN HOLLYWOOD
Office Manager; responsible for record keeping, book keeping, and managing the administrative core. Helen is generally the anchor woman who keeps us all on track and so much more.

MARTIN HUGHES
Training Manager; responsible for managing Navigate Life and wider training activities at GalGael. Martin joined the staff team in Jan 08 bringing with him an extensive experience in boat building and repair. Contact Martin on any training issues martin@galgael.org

Workshop Trainer; responsible for delivery of practical training activity and convenor of the Rural Vision Action Team. Contact Seumas on issues concerning our farmhouse on Loch Awe or rural issues in general.

Timber Business Development Officer (part time); responsible for developing income streams relating to timber processing and production. The rest of the week Tim rents GalGael bench space for his own furniture business, details of which can be found on our links page.

Project Officer (Barmaddy Restored) – Full Time
Salary: £ 19830 + pension SJC Scale AP2 (SP 22) (09-10 figures)
The post of Project Officer is a key member of GalGael’s new rural staff team with specific responsibility for managing, implementing and developing GalGael’s Barmaddy Restored project. Working with the Barmaddy Outreach and Development Officer, the key purpose of the Project Officer is to ensure achievement of the project aim to create a centre where people can come together to learn, work and aid in restorative processes, both personal, cultural & ecological. You will be based at Barmaddy Farm near Dalavich. An interest in and an understanding of the work of GalGael is essential as is a clean driving license due to the remote location.
This is an initial 12-month contract with continuation subject to securing future funding.

Outreach & Development Officer (Barmaddy Restored) Part-time
£ 18,813 + pension (pro rata) SJC Scale AP2 p20
The Outreach and Development Officer will engage the local community in GalGael’s Barmaddy Restored project and develop the opportunities people can access there. This includes securing funding to support this work. Working with the Barmaddy Restored Project Officer, the Outreach and Development Officer will help in achieving the project aim to create a centre where people can come together to learn, work and aid in restorative processes, both personal, cultural & ecological. You will be based at Barmaddy Farm near Dalavich. An interest in and an understanding of the work of GalGael is essential as is a clean driving license due to the remote location.
