Fairley Street

Fairley Street

Our workshop premises at Fairley Street, Ibrox, comprises 11,000 square feet of offices, reception area, external yard and extensive workshop space. The workshops are well located for our target group - providing an ideal venue from which to rekindle a work ethic at the heart of a community of intergenerational worklessness.

Over the past 5 years we have implemented a number of improvements to ensure that the facilities support quality in programme delivery. These improvements include a well-equipped wood machine workshop with £20k worth of machinery.

The building comprises a unique part of Govan’s early industrial heritage; featuring ‘hammer beam’ roof combined with gracefully tapered early cast iron structure dating back to 1896.

Located in Ibrox, situated in the South West Community Planning Partnership area of Glasgow, the building sits at the centre of one of Scotland’s lowest ranking datazones according to the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation 2009; with stark figures relating to adult mortality rates and specifically drug and alcohol related deaths.
