What we DO Making Just Futures Hello. We're glad you found your way here :) This is where you can find more info about our project, Making Just Futures. What is it? Making Just Futures is a community where we build, make, grow, knit, cook, learn, talk and can be together. What would I be doing? There are a number of ways you can participate in Making Just Futures. You might simply share food and conversation as part of community built around learning and mutual support. You'll most likely sign up to learn woodwork or help out in the garden at weekly sessions. Probably there'll be other workshops, film screenings and gatherings that you'll be interested in joining. You might join in on discussions about issues that affect us and our neighbourhoods. We hope that along the way - as well as picking up practical skills that you'll learn about yourself and others, meaning that you feel closer to people in general. Who is it for? Anyone is welcome to join and we particularly want to welcome folk living locally, and those from communities across the city struggling to get through week to week, for whatever reason. Perhaps you’re struggling to get by on a limited budget or overcoming struggles related to addiction or just feeling a bit low. Maybe you've been out of work for some time. Or perhaps you experience some form of discrimination or are new to Scotland. How do I find out more? We run regular Welcome sessions on first and third Wednesday every month (11am-12:30pm). We’ll show you round and chat about the project and what you can expect. There's also our Wednesday community lunch that you're welcome to stay on for. To find out more - book a welcome session >>> here <<< Click on the link to select a date. We also ask a few questions to help us ensure we're reaching everyone equally. Booking helps us manage numbers and gather any information about access requests or severe allergies so we can do our best to welcome you well.
